Journal Entry 1 by JessicaEby from Cambridge, Ontario Canada on Sunday, June 07, 2020
My husband and I drove most of the way across the country (southern ON to BC and back) in 2017, and McDonald's was our friend for big drinks and bathrooms along the way! I like to book cross the McDonald's Happy Meal books, so we often picked one up if we stopped at a McDonald's and then I'd read it out loud in the car when we left.

This was one of the books I picked up on our long drive, though I'm not sure anymore which town it was where this book joined us. I liked this book though, it's a sweet little camping story, and it's especially fitting that we picked it up on the first trip where we camped together (it was also the first time either of us had camped as an adult, and the first time my husband had camped in the Rockies)!

I am registering this right now because I am doing some bookcrossing clean-up this evening and I didn't know this book had never been registered. I have a but of an idea for releasing it, but... nothing is certain with my bookcrossing activity right now. We'll just have to wait and see.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Today I took my husband for a little trail hike, sharing a childhood place with him before he's called back to work in a couple of weeks. While we were there, I left this book on a picnic table beside the camp store-- it's in a protective blue bag and it's on the table closest to the trailhead. I chose Valens as my release spot for this book because the book is about a first camping trip, and Valens is where my first camping trip was way back in 1996 or so!

If you've found this book, thanks for picking it up and checking out its journal! If you're new to bookcrossing, welcome. We'd love it if you'd stick around with us a while. I really hope that you enjoy both this book and the whole bookcrossing experience!

This book was released as part of the 2020 Edition of an annual release challenge here on Bookcrossing-- the "52 Towns in 52 Weeks" Release Challenge. Valens uses addresses in both Cambridge and Flamborough, but for the purpose of this challenge I am counting it as Flamborough, which is Town #9 for me this year.
