The Traitor's Pawn

I wasn't sure about this book going in, I don't really care to read political stories, and being about a senator who is shot and someone "selling encrypted government secrets to the Chinese" I was afraid there would be a lot of political stuff. But, it's a Revell book and I am a fan of their romantic suspense line so I dove in, and I ended up really enjoying it. Lots of twists and turns that kept me guessing, lots of action, high on suspense, low on romance, well written, and a great way to get your mind off the pandemic.
I'm adding this to mrsjones Bookbox of Suprisingly Good Books.

I don't read a lot of Christian fiction but when I do it's very refreshing. Jack and Aubrey are two estranged friends who are brought together to solve a case of treason. This story starts out with an adrenaline filled scene that doesn't let up. The book is full of plot twists that I didn't see coming.
I read this for PopSugar's 2021 reading challenge prompt: A book that has fewer than 1,000 reviews on Amazon or Goodreads.
