From the book tent at the Punahou Carnival.
During World War II, a young boy is temporarily sent to stay with his grandmother, the cook for a road-building crew in Minnesota: it's an experience he'll never forget.
I'll count this as my Minnesota read (17/51) for the 2020 version of NancyNova's US States reading challenge.
