Englische Passagiere (Originaltitel English Passengers) ist ein im Jahr 2000 erschienener historischer Roman, verfasst von Matthew Kneale; dem Autor wurde für diesen Roman der Whitbread Book Award verliehen und er wurde für den Booker Prize vorgeschlagen. Der besondere Charme des Buches besteht in der Vielzahl an unterschiedlichen Figuren, aus deren Sichtweise der Handlungsstrang erzählt wird. Der Roman handelt von drei Engländern, die sich im 19. Jahrhundert als Passagiere eines Schmugglerschiffs von der Insel Man aufmachen, um in Tasmaniens Wildnis den Garten Eden zu entdecken. Parallel dazu wird das Schicksal der tasmanischen Urbevölkerung unter englischer Okkupation aus der Sicht des Ureinwohners Peevay geschildert.
