I got this ex-library softcover from Better World Books. It's a choose-your-own-path book themed on romance novels - should be fun!
Later: And fun it is! There are more sexy-times here than in most of the older romances I've read, though less than in modern romances, and overall the tone is rather whimsical and adventurous. And there are a lot more choices than I'd anticipated, not all of them romantic: the character can choose from several romance-novel-hero types, at least one woman, and a number of interesting secondary characters (my favorites), with results ranging from happy/sexy pairing to an adventurous life as a spy or an archaeologist - or even a successful businesswoman. One can choose to take up with the obvious cad, and may wind up being a bit caddish one's self; one can try to redeem the dark Byronic hero (and my find that there's a vampire or werewolf behind all the brooding); or one can dart off with the kind and helpful guide and avoid all those dramatics.
The subplots are influenced by a variety of well-known romance plots, from Jane Eyre to Outlander to assorted Regency romances, and while some of the plot lines work out better than others, they're all entertaining.
