Good thriller set in Southern California. Rick Cahill was innocent of his wife’s murder, but her father and many of his fellow cops considered him guilty. He relocated to another town and was managing a restaurant when he went to the aid of a woman customer being bothered by a nasty-looking man, and it was all downhill from there. Fast-paced, hard-boiled type read.
