Children's hardcover; no dust jacket. Story by Suzanne Kita with illustrations by Lambert Davis. From the Rotary fundraiser at Waikiki School; zoomable photo here.

Odd as it may sound, there really are wild wallabies living in Hawaii...and have been since 1916. The most recently document sighting is from 2018.

Journal Entry 2 by winghyphen8wing at Honolulu, Hawaii USA on Thursday, April 23, 2020
On the back cover, Willie has the extremely rare opportunity to see a family of Hawaiian wallabies - the real ones mostly live in remote areas which are either privately owned or controlled by the US military.

There are ferns growing on the ground and a breadfruit tree up above.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Wednesday, April 22, 2020: Wednesday's walk took me to the surfing LFL. :)

Zoomable photo here.

(Nothing like realizing - three months after the fact - that I had used the wrong LFL release zone for that day's books. I re-released the three that hadn't been journaled yet to the correct location.)

Updated guidelines for safely visiting and stocking Little Free Libraries from the LFL site here.
As of March 30th, the CDC said: “We are not concerned at all about paper-based materials like books being a transmission route” - but the situation keeps evolving and it never hurts to be cautious and sanitize your hands and frequently-touched surfaces.

Released for GoryDetails's April Showers/May Flowers Challenge and originalslicey's There's No Place Like Home challenge.
