This is one of the thirty books I acquired on a tour of Knaresborough's charity shops this morning in an attempt to stock up on reading material before this vulnerable 70+ oldie is confined to quarters as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread.
My husband used to watch the Castle television series and I've often fancied reading one of the associated novels but have never done so - until now . . .
From Google Overview: "From Tokyo, to Bonn, to London, high-level bankers are being tortured and murdered. The killer, caught in a fleeting glimpse on a surveillance camera, has been described as a psychopath with an eye patch. And that means Gregor Volkov, Derrick Storm's old nemesis, has returned. Knowing only one man can match Volkov's strength and cunning, the CIA calls on Storm to track him down, figure out who he's working for and why. With the help of a beautiful and mysterious foreign agent, Storm discovers a plot that could destroy the global economy bringing with it untold chaos and the time he has to stop it is running short."

It's all terribly thrilling with goodies and baddies, spies and assassins, torturers and international bankers and such like . . . not to mention international super-criminals planning to mastermind global financial armageddon . . . or something like that anyway . . . Who knows?

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Posted from North to West Yorkshire with surprise greetings . . .
Thank you Nu-knees for this lovely surprise. The Castle series seems to have passed me by, so it will be all new to me. It's a Richard book so I might read it as part of Plum's "What to read" for this month, but I have just started a Victorian mystery this morning.
I need to clear some space on my shelves, so this book might be better in someone else's hands.
Carrying birthday greetings to a fellow Bookcrosser.
