This old classic is one of the thirty books I acquired on a tour of Knaresborough's charity shops this morning in an attempt to stock up on reading material before this vulnerable 70+ oldie is confined to quarters as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread.
I think I may have read it in my youth - but certainly not recently!

This copy has been used as a study text and is full of underlinings, marks and symbols.
I mostly ignore them but sometimes find myself wondering what they mean, what they're supposed to highlight and why.
Distracting!

Journal Entry 3 by wingNu-Kneeswing at Knaresborough, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Friday, September 4, 2020
It's a long time since I've had to read anything for study purposes. In my old age I read for pleasure - and, unfortunately, Evelina isn't pleasing me. In fact, she's rather a boring young lady, so I've quit!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I've left Evelina hanging around this red telephone box . . .

Nearly two million people around the world give their books a unique BookCrossing IDentity number (BCID) before sending them out to find new readers. Since the start of the scheme in April 2001 over thirteen million such books have been put into circulation. This is one of them!

Our hope is that we can track the progress of our books once they've left our hands - and that's possible if finders like you visit the website, key in the BCID and leave a comment, however long or short. It's fun, it doesn't have to cost anything, although the site always appreciates donations towards running costs, and you can remain anonymous if you wish. You don't have to join but if you do you'll be able to number and track your own books!
