This ex-library hardcover was among the books donated to the local library for distribution to the Little Free Libraries. It's a YA novel about a young woman in early-1500s Florence - and, in this story, the model for da Vinci's famed painting "Mona Lisa", known for its enigmatic smile. (The author's notes at the end of the book explain the historical confusion over the identity of the model, allowing her to choose her own heroine - but apart from that, Napoli attempted to maintain historical accuracy.)

I left this book in the Little Free Library in front of the school-turned-art-center; hope someone enjoys it! (While I was dropping off my books, someone riding by on a motorcycle called out to me about another LFL in town - made my day!)
