At first I felt like this would be a long story of lust and eroticism. Agonizing, I thought. But I kept on reading and it turned out to be a story of profound intimacy, of love and loss, like all love stories tend to be, sooner or later.

"Time makes us sentimental. Perhaps, in the end, it is because of time that we suffer" - at the edge of becoming 53, I tend to agree with that.
