This was donated to my Dagenham Little Free Library but I fancy a cheeky read first. Isn’t this the book or author who inspired Cats The Musical?

This is the book that Cats The Musical is based on. I’m sure we had a copy when I was small, so I’ve possibly read it before. It’s a poetical look at the secret lives of cats, accompanied by some classic illustrations. Is this aimed at children? Seems a little sophisticated for them (I struggled with pronouncing some words).

If you have picked up a book from here, You may have noticed there is a little hand written note/sticker inside with a unique number and direction to the BookCrossing website. It’s free and you can do it anonymously. But if you join, you will get notified when the next reader journals it. You wouldn’t believe how far some books go!

We used to have a copy of this book. I think it was my granddaughter's and she must have taken it with her when she moved out. I love it and will enjoy reading it again. I have seen the musical several times. I can't wait to meet The Rum Tum Tugger, Macavity, Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer etc again.
