Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine
4 journalers for this copy...

Eleanor Oliphant has learned how to survive - but not how to live Eleanor Oliphant leads a simple life. She wears the same clothes to work every day, eats the same meal deal for lunch every day and buys the same two bottles of vodka to drink every weekend. Eleanor Oliphant is happy. Nothing is missing from her carefully timetabled life. Except, sometimes, everything. One simple act of kindness is about to shatter the walls Eleanor has built around herself. Now she must learn how to navigate the world that everyone else seems to take for granted - while searching for the courage to face the dark corners she's avoided all her life. Change can be good. Change can be bad. But surely any change is better than... fine?

Once again I fell for a title and this time I hit jackpot!
This was so far the best book in 2020 I've read.
The characters were so likable, I felt for Eleanor and her struggles to lead a normal (in her opinion) life. I don't really care whether she has AS or not, the way she starts getting better is more important. I also like the way Raymond doesn't seem to be so likable in the beginning (judging from HER description) but becomes so important, so likable throughout the book!
I wouldn't describe the book as "funny" (as said on the back) though there were some moments which were - due to her being the way she is - amusing.
Eleanor fate is incredible, "Mummy" so awful, I really hated her.
And the end - caught me absolutely by surprise and is just perfect!!
