I'm claiming this from the Bookish Bookbox, bookbox-journal here.

Later: This is the second book in the author's "Bibliophile" cozy-mystery series about a professional bookbinder/restoration expert. While I'm fond of some cozies, especially book-themed ones with cats {wry grin}, I'm not warming to this one... though I admit that the opening passage resonated with me: "If my life were a book, I'd have masking tape holding my hinges together. My pages would be loose, my edges tattered..." It goes on in that vein, regarding a protagonist who's had to remake her life - and who also enjoys a good IPA at a pub {wry grin}. Our heroine Brooklyn Wainwright has just arrived in Edinburgh for a book fair (and I envy her the trip; the 2023 BookCrossing convention will be held in a not-that-far city), only to come across hints of a scandal regarding the British monarchy (OK, that aspect seems underwhelming given recent real-world events) - and, of course, a corpse... the corpse of her ex!

The setup was just fine, and some of the scenes - whether of the delights of Scotland or the joys of bookbinding - were entertaining, but the characters never really seemed to grab me. And the central mystery was... kind of blah? Ah, well!
