Return to Tradd Street

Realized after I started this book that this is #4 in a series. I read #1 so I knew some of the history of Melanie and her spirit abilities and the house she was currently renovating along with some of it’s strange history.
In this book, she is pregnant and most of the storyline is about her food and weight complaints and spreadsheets and charts she is compiling during her pregnancy. She also is confused about her feeling for Jack, the father.
I felt what I liked about this storyline from the previous book was the house and it’s haunting. There was the budding romance of Melanie and Jack, but I felt there was maybe 25% of the ghost storyline was lost to the main character of the Melanie’s pregnancy woes, so therefore I didn’t enjoy it as much.
Enjoyed the author’s creative twist of past babies, cradles and baptism outfits to tie in the mystery
