A compelling read. I think the emotions, uncertainties and ambiguities of the thirteen year old narrator are well captured but the tone feels off. It still keeps me turning the pages eagerly.

This is a very well written and very interesting read. The story of and behind child abduction, molestation and abuse of Evie Verver told from the point of view of her best friend and neighbour Lizzie. Bit of a twist on a twist on a twist at the end, too
