Who doesn't love Marilyn? I mean, come on!
I'm taking this hardcover from imawinn2's shrinking bookbox. I've appreciated many of the performances of this charismatic but troubled star, and look forward to reading her story.
Later: an enjoyable read, though of course very poignant - not least for the note from her agent at the end: "This is where Marilyn's manuscript ended when she gave it to me." Her story includes lots of ups and downs, and manages to convey her talent as well as that naive air, though it's clear she's a lot sharper than some of her on-screen roles would suggest. It would have been wonderful to see what she'd have done if only...
