At the Existentialist Café

I never studied philosophy in school and so it is a surprise that lately I've been reading a quite a few books on the subject. This one appealed to me because it was more about the people than the philosophy. Like literary Paris in the 20s, I am always amazed when groups of like-minded thinkers end up in pretty much the same place at the same time. I don't think that happens much anymore. And aside from the Founders writing the Constitution, I'm not sure it's ever happened in the US.
