What can I say about this book that hasn’t already been said? A haunting narrative based on a true story. The tale of Cilka after surviving Auschwitz only to be sentenced to 15 years in a Russian gulag for war crimes. Sad and yet hopeful, definitely worth the read.

I can’t wait to read this sequel. Thanks for tag!
This was a great follow up to "The Tattooist of Auschwitz." This book is a story of 16 year old Cilka who was convicted of spying for the enemy and transferred to from Auschwitz to a Siberian prison camp. You can't even begin to imagine the horrors these prisoners faced, so that is why it's important to read these stories so we can never forget. This was a very emotional story of hope and survival.
