This has found it's way back to me! Found in the box of books I put out on my garden wall for anyone who'd like one. I know at least one of my neighbours enjoyed it as they told me so & I think I know someone else who might like it....
Thank you Plum. I'll pass this on to MrsDeltic.

Thank you Secret Santa.
This was maybe a little too saccharine for my taste with everyone being beautiful, happy and in love, but of course, being set during World War 2 there were tears too to balance it out. Although I was unable to connect with the characters situations, Daisy Styles brings the characters to life really well and draws in the reader with an entertaining story. I would definitely recommend this read.

Taken out of the 2021 Christmas Bookbox, as my TBR pile is massive it may take me a while to get to this.
I gave this a go, but it just wasn't my thing, a little too sweet for my taste. Sorry!

The story a group of women working in a munitions factory in WWII. The women have a dangerous and hard job but that aspect isn't dwelt on, it's more soap-opera style, their loves, what they wear, and the music, and they always seem to have plenty of rations to save up for anything special. I know people had to seize the moment during wartime but in this book people seem to exchange a couple of glances and then be in love! Of course being wartime there are some sad moments too, though again these seem to be glossed over quickly. Still a fun read.
