I got this softcover at the Book Cellar during their {sob!} store-closing sale, for another release copy.
This is the "Brick Testament" version of The Story of Christmas, and is basically an illustrated retelling of the Biblical Christmas story - done in Legos! Oddly enough this sometimes adds a very warped tone to the story; the angel, for example, has the usual smiling Lego-character face, but with beard-stubble - not what one expects on an angel. And the Slaughter of the Innocents as rendered in Lego (dismembered Lego-babies in pools of Lego blood) is quite shocking, especially in the cheerful-Lego context of the rest of the story. It tells the Biblical tale, adds some thought-provoking subtext, and illustrates new and different things to do with all those Legos; what's not to like? And, in addition to reading the basic story, one can play a "spot the Lego piece" game: can you name the Lego character or kit from which the shepherds' cloaks came? [I'm guessing Obi-wan Kenobi, but I may be wrong.]
You can see the author's work online, at thebricktestament.com; note that his renditions include many of the extremely graphic and violent scenes from the Bible, including Lego-people being assaulted, dismembered, etc. You have been warned.
[There's a TV Tropes page on this.]
