This softcover was among the books donated to the Nashua Public Library for distribution to Little Free Libraries. I skimmed through this to see if I wanted to read it, and decided I did not, but was amused to find a section where the narrator is discussing Noyes' poem "The Highwayman," talking about how much he enjoyed it [in contrast to the kind of reading the nuns wanted him to be doing] and how desperate he was to find out how it ended...
The book was adapted to the screen in this 1999 film.
