I got this softcover from an online seller. I'd been riveted by the harrowing audiobook of The Only Plane in the Sky, an oral history of the events of 9/11, and among the things I learned from that book was the scope of the evacuation by water of over 300,000 New Yorkers after regular transportation was shut down. This book is about that aspect of the day's events, with photos and short interviews from people who were evacuated and from the crews and skippers of the many craft involved.

I left this book on the Little Free Library shelves inside the YMCA; hope someone enjoys it!
