Thank you very much for this book. I have already started reading. And thank you for all the lovely goodies. Merry Christmas!
A great book! I loved the detailed descriptions of feelings and it was interesting to get the impressions about living at Victorian ages in India in military surroundings. Although it was clear how the book would end, because it is a Christmas based book, it nevertheless was exciting up to the end.
Thank you, dear Bookworm-lady for this choice :-)

Travelling to my German Christmas buddy :-)
I found this book along with wonderful presents in my Secret Santa parcel of 2021 (Weihnachtswichteln). I am already looking forward to reading it.
A really captivating book. You learn a lot about duty and feelings of honour of British soldiers in India at that time and a bit about life in the military camp. You also learn about the atrocities the soldiers have experienced or witnessed. Hard to stand sometimes but nevertheless very interesting. I had to look up some of the words not familiar to me. The case itself was very exciting and I didn't have the slightest idea of what really happened that day until it was solved.
