I got this hefty softcover at Barnes and Noble during a pre-snowstorm visit today. It's a manga-style adaptation of Stoker's novel, which is a long-time favorite of mine. (My comments on the full-text version here.)
This version... is OK, but not great; I think the visual format loses some of the charm of the epistolary format of the novel. And this adaptation had to edit the text, and some of the bits removed were among my favorites, even though not essential to the story; for example, early on when Jonathan Harker is on his way to Dracula's castle, he jots down lots of cheery traveler-type notes to Mina, including things like wanting to get the recipe for a chicken-paprika dish. Minor stuff, but it helped set up his character, making the effects of his treatment by the Count more impactful.
The artwork also tended a bit more to the manga-style than really fit the story, IMO; Quincy Morris, especially, appears here as a very bishonen-type character, not really in keeping with his charming-but-rough-and-ready-American-West personality.
But, overall, it's a fairly complete adaptation of the novel - and is certainly more faithful than any of the screen adaptations {wry grin}.
