Well, I am not really interested in the American way of living and even less about it in the White House, but I like fictional murder, children and food. This story was not too bad at all.

Thanks, both of you. I've read at least one book of this series and liked it. And with the current master of the White House, I would not mind reading about a real murder taking place, either...

Began reading this morning, as it was too hot to walk long with Doggie Dearest. The White House does not sound like a very nice workplace, even with Trump out of office. In real life the FBI has just raided Trump's private estate to get back classified government papers he had stolen.
This was published in 2011, but it sounds very fresh:
"The threat of a potentially deadly airborne virus would be enough to wreak havoc on the city for weeks."
The book has started to shed its pages. I will try to be gentle with it and hopefully Chania will get it in one piece.

With workmates like these, who needs enemies? I could never work in secret service or in the diplomatic field - I could not hold my tongue and just keep turning the other cheak. It showed already in one of my first job interviews - Vuokko Eräjää owned Eläinsoppi pet store chain and was looking for a sales person to one of her shops back in the dark middle ages. "What would you say if a customer asked / said this...?" began most of her questions and I thought the answers were easy. She said in the end that she can't hire me, because I am a person who always wants to be in the right. I was surprised and didn't agree with her, because I don't argue with customers if their view does not harm animals, but if I had workmates like Ollie's my tongue would be like a whip (so Vuokko E. was partly correct).
Finished. Just one question: How did Ollie's cell phone return home from the flushed toilet?
