Loved this book! Guernsey is one of my favourite places in all the world, and this book tells of the horrors of war, and some of the good things.

And a good yarn as well.

Picked up at the Bookcrossing meet at the City Labour Club in Civic, ACT. Thank you.
I have already read this book and I LOVED it. I took it for Needle-n-Thread to read. Here was the review I wrote in 2010:
The book is a great read. But I must admit I began reading it with negative thoughts because of its style and it took me about 30 pages to change my prejudiced mind and begin to enjoy it. Then I thought it was great and was sorry when it came to an end. Funny characters I would love to see translated into a TV series. I enjoyed the first half the best as I thought the humour was strongest there.

A moving tale of post war friendship, love and books. ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society’ is gloriously honest, poignant and funny as a book to fall in love with.
