'The Snapper' is the second instalment of Doyle's 'Barrytown Trilogy', but focuses more on the accidentally-pregnant Sharon Rabbitte than her brother Jimmy. (Jimmy founded Dublin's finest soul band in the trilogy's first book, 'The Commitments'. In this book he features only in the background as an aspiring DJ, 'ALL OVER IRELAND').

Written in a Dublin accent with the occasional 'naughty' word, it is worth a few laughs !
