I claimed this softcover at today's BookCrossing meetup in Porter Square. I do enjoy short stories!
Later: A good mix, some dreamlike, some gritty - and, of course, some more enjoyable for me than others. The ones I was most drawn to include:
"The Dungeon Master" by Sam Lipsyte, in which a sadly-dysfunctional D&D group cope with real life - not always in the best ways.
"ID" by Joyce Carol Oates, which leads up to a young girl's having to identify the battered and drowned body of her mother - a wrenching situation indeed.
