I've been wanting to read this for a while, found it for just a few dollars on Better World Books. Adding to Mt. TBR!

This is book #4 in the Jane Hawk series. I liked it, but at the same time, I didn't. I went back to read my review of book #3, and I'm just going to copy+paste it here, because it still applies:

I started out really liking this series - but it's just. Dragging. On. This book was too long, there were too many unnecessary people and side-stories, and too much of the same thing happening. I like Jane and her kick-ass, intuitive, intelligent style -- but this needs to end. I was super disappointed to learn that there is yet another book in this series. I really hope it will be the final one. It's gotten to the point that I don't even remember many of the details of how this all got started and who did what, to whom, when. The writing is good, but I'm finding myself skimming now. Come on, Koontz -- this story needs a conclusion.

I have book #5 in my possession and will read it next. I really hope it will be the finale!
