This was a classic Albert Campion mystery that starts off with the discovery of a mysterious corpse in the bed of his friend, the Marquess of Carados. It's an excellent example of the Golden Age style of mystery novel that Margery Allingham is known for. This book was also published as Coroner's Pidgin in the UK.
I always enjoy a Champion mystery and this one was a good one.
