Given to me by a friend in Belgium.
This was a slower read than expected because about mid-way through I realized I couldn't enjoy it to its fullest if I didn't first refresh my memory of the books discussed. As we are more or less in lock-down, I ended up relying on films and only had access to three of them (Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, and Emma), although I've seen Pride and Prejudice often enough for it to be relatively fresh in my mind. I also recently started re-watching Lost in Austen, the BBC production with a student, but as she had to leave the school when we shut because of the virus, I suspended watching it. I've seen it several times and hopefully she'll be able to return to our boarding school before the end of the year when she is meant to graduate and I can share the rest of it with her. On the whole I enjoyed this. The format of different members of a group being introduced and their lives revealed is becoming quite the popular one. Here we had bits of Austen to unite them. I did find there was a lack of completion in most cases. Why does Allegra make the choice she makes, and what happens with the doctor, for example. Is this to reflect the lack of conclusion we all experience with our relationships? An enjoyable read but not bowl me over amazing.
Unless I can change it, this is not the cover on mine.

Taken from Switzerland to France, and now off to the USA, thanks to bookmooch. Enjoy!
Since I haven't read it, there's no comment to be made.
