A collection of stories, poems, essays and thoughts by trans and non-binary writers. As with any collection, there are hits and misses, but there were a few pieces that really struck a chord.
I read this on a beach on Norfolk Island, a few months after my top surgery, and there was one line, from a story by Mud Howard, that perfectly summed up that moment for me: "i wanted to be able to stand topless in the copper sun and give my body to the ocean". I've still got a year of healing before I can expose my scar to the copper sun, but I'm getting there!
