So I'm getting through these Goosebumps Horrorland books and they really haven't been impressing me at all... This one just didn't connect with me at all, mainly because the main character, Robbie Schwartz, was unreliable right from the start so I kind of knew what was going to happen towards the end of the story. I just knew exactly what was going on and I wasn't gripped or interested whatsoever. R. L. Stine attempted to be twisty and tried to give us something believable whilst also being unreliable which is a cool concept - very "The Clockwork Orange" - but it just didn't work.
As for the Horroland story at the end, I am interested in where this story is going and I'm worried there's going to be like 30+ characters by the very end, but it's definitely the best part of these Goosebumps Horrorland stories so far, but again this wasn't all that great, but Slappy appeared which is always a Goosebumps classic.
