I usually hate thrillers, and this is no exception. So how did this come into my hands? My DH bought it at the Library Friends book sale, thinking "How bad can it be for $1?" After all, we both love George Guidall. And it was fun to listen to him read a book that held no interest for me, just to appreciate the subtle talent with which he can shape a phrase, or even a single word, to add dimension to the text.

I could have a good time writing a nasty review, but the point of BookCrossing is to help books find their way to appreciative readers. So if you like to read details of high-tech military gadgets, or blow-by-blow combat, this is your book. Also, if you are a traveller or wish you were, you might enjoy the descriptions of all the scenes of action. Finally, if you like stories with lots of violence, explosions, bloodshed, etc., this will not disappoint.
