This is a collection of the experiences and memories of WWII of several women published by the Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario. Some were in Canada during the war, while others lived in European countries. The stories are poignant, sometimes sad, others with happy endings and I found them to be very enlightening about life during those years and the many roles played by women. Although the proof reading of this book left much to be desired (spelling and grammatical errors throughout) I am glad to have read these stories and have gained more understanding of this time in history.
