Finished this book while getting an oil change. What an awesomely weird little book. I can see how it might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I enjoyed it. It’s the story of Ben who gets placed on the Path where some traumatic things happen and he has to struggle to get back to his family. Once Ben decided to take control instead of letting things happen he was able to make sense of what was happening to him. A lesson to be learned if you ask me.

The wishlist-tag book arrived safely today; many thanks! (I got your PM about its BCID, so was able to journal it and will label it as well.) I "read" this via audiobook a while back and have been wanting a hard copy to re-read and release.

It's definitely unusual, a kind of surreal fable/personal journey that gets weirder and weirder - and sometimes hilariously funny, especially when Crab is involved. But it's poignant too, and there's a lovely kicker at the end that caused a major perspective shift for me. Good read!

[I've also enjoyed other works by this author, including The Postmortal and Someone Could Get Hurt.]

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I left this book inside the gazebo on the shore in the park/"unique area" on this beautiful day. (Note the view of the Hudson, with Storm King mountain on the right. Awesome!) Hope someone enjoys the book!
