Lost and Fondue

I work with cheese, so while I am not a big fan of mystery, I pick up this series with interest.
Charlotte Bessette owns a cheese shop in Providence, Ohio. She is busy catering an event for her friend, Meredith, to raise fund to convert an old, disused winery into a college. However, one of the artists is murdered that night.
The story is quite good, though I find it a bit slow paced. Also, I find the information of cheese and wine sprinkled throughout the book feels a bit unnatural, like the author simply gets a list and tries inserting the names wherever she can, unlike some books where I learn things as I enjoy a good story. Also, may I point out that Taleggio doesn't have ash and Green Hill is cow's milk, not goat.
Anyway, this book is going to Lemonitsa for her birthday. She has book 1 on her wishlist and this is book 2. Hope she will enjoy this.
