Another excellent Joanna Brady mystery.
I’ve been reading Jance’s books for decades now, and really enjoy them. The Brady books are far and away my favorites, possibly because of my own biases: I spent 20 years in Cochise County, both in Bisbee, and working as a ranch-hand in the foothills of the Pelloncillo Mountains. Plus, I just love the idea of red rural Arizona having a female sheriff😂
This book also has eye-opening ‘bonus material’ at the back— it’s not in my hard cover edition— be sure to read that as well.

Thank you for the surprise, erishkigal! I'm excited for the book (with bonus material) and love the cute corner bookmark in it. I'm a big Jance fan. I met her at a book festival before I'd ever read anything by her.
I've been behind all year--glad I'm not the only one!

The books arrived safe and sound in Tennessee. Thank you. Also, appreciate the labels and bookmark.
A good mystery story of a serial killer, who has turned Joanna's little area of the Southwest into a field of bones. Joanna Brady is off on maternity leave after the birth of her new daughter. When a teenager comes across a human skull , and his mother makes him turn it in to the Sheriff department. As the investigators dig into the location where the skull was found, they found more than they bargained for, two more skulls and a body not yet decomposed. As they work the case, Joanna is kept abreast of the findings and what she can do to help her team find the killer. An interesting case and a good read.
