This had really great reviews, so I decided that I wanted to read it. :)
It was a strange start. I had originally thought this was short stories, but that wasn't the case. I had gotten a good way through before I understood this 'short story' wasn't ending. lol
It was a strange scene, a night a comedy club to watch a show. It had surreal aspects to it that made it a bit unrealistic. And there were also many parts that made it incredibly cringe worthy. The main character on the stage was truly a train wreck. And maybe back 20 years ago he could put on such a performance but in this day an age they would call the police and declare him mentally ill and drag him off for help.
In fact, even though I am from an older generation, I waited for someone to put a stop to the madness. Still, it was a train wreck. And as far as that goes, I think it would make a great Indie film. I wonder who would play the main character? I think I could see Woody Allen, but he is far too old now.
Anyways, it was a very good book. It has earned it's shiny reviews. :)
