Break in Case of Emergency

Can't resist Brian Francis. Hoping to get this read and out into my LFL in time for Hallowe'en when my neighbourhood's marauding teenagers tend to hit the Little Free Library. They think I don't notice the weight and bulge of their treat bags. :)
I have to admit that I had a niggling doubt that Francis would be able to pull off a teenaged female character in a sensitive way. He's a man and a gay man to boot. And while many straight women claim that gay men make the best friends, truth is my gay friends of my youth (and they were and remain great friends) tended to be less than complimentary about women in general.
This review to be continued here when I can grab the time.
For now it is going out the door as planned.
