Woohoo! Very exciting. Thank you very much for sending this estelle1806.
Late on in Still Waters, Ivy notes that "Both of them had made mistakes". Oh boy, that's quite the understatement...
I was a bit wary of starting this. Rather snobbishly perhaps, it didn't look like 'my kind of thing'. But actually it was good fun to read. Kavanagh's writing was passable, and the plot borderline-ludicrous but engrossing. There were plenty of twists along the way, some of which I guessed and some that had me going 'what???' The novel is far more sympathetic towards Ivy than she deserves in my opinion, but I kind of enjoyed reading everything from her point of view, even though in most stories she would be depicted as something of a villain.

Sent to my UK Secret Santa. Merry Christmas!
Not an author I have read so this could be interesting. It sounds like it would be a book which I could see several members of our monthly Book Club choosing to read.
It certainly sounds intriguing, so I will see how I get on with it. However, currently on tbr.

Hmm, was a little like LittleSuz on this one ('not really my thing') but I decided to give it a go. Yes, a very easy read, which given the storyline it should not have been, but a change for me nonetheless. Much of the plot I had worked out way before it was unravelled but there were some requisite 'red herrings' along the way.
I do have to agree with LittleSuz that as the whole thing is all from Ivy's point of view, it has an obvious bias in that direction and she really did stage manage the ending to a hugely advantageous degree. However, as this author did not engage with the psychological effects which would have evolved from the proceedings, perhaps not as positive as pictured here.
Sadly, although a pleasant diversion from my usual fare, I will not be searching for this author's stories, but it was a pleasing easy read nonetheless. I do not have a plan for this book at present but could see it travelling in a bookbox at some time.

I took this from the book box as I always like to try books that wouldn't be my normal choice. Unfortunately this one didn't really do it for me, and I didn't finish it so I'll be releasing it soon for a new reader to find.
