A freefall into modern Irish literature
Some stories more interesting than others, but the first one certainly grasps your attention...!

Wonderful - this is a book that will suit to many challenges on the Finnish forum. "Finland mentioned" is one of them. The Finnish composer Sibelius was mentioned in the short story "Whatever happened to Horace Bartley?" by Brian Anthony. Take a look at the page 45; it goes like this: "He picked out difficult sections in symphonies by Sibelius and Tchaikovsky." This short story was one of those a bit funny ones. Not revealing anything but it had some peculiar elements. I reckon most of the short stories in this collection were quite sad. There was often an unpleasant surprise in the end. I guess that is something that belongs to the nature of a short story. I have seldom read happy "shorts".
I can also take part in "The Triple Challenge". In "The Silent Clock" the teacher says: "All of you, act, act, act." The same story ends with a line: "And Bina stands tall, clings to her position and holds, holds, holds."
Furthermore, I am participating in Corona Challenge on the Finnish forum as a virus disease (Hepatitis C) was mentioned in "Winds of Change".
