My husband bought me a bunch of Happy Meal books for bookcrossing. He didn't realize that he'd already bought me this one a few months ago (lol), so now I have 2 copies! Here is what I thought when I read this book in June:

Cute story about a little girl trying to train her dog. I know it is a French-Canadian story but it seemed very French (as in, France French) to me. I think it's the art. Anyway, it's a cute book with an ending that is pretty guessable, I think, for grown ups, but is a happy one and I think that many kids would probably like this book.

While driving up to North Bay for the New Year weekend, Husband and I realized we'd forgotten some things and needed to stop at a Dollarama or something. We found one in Bracebridge, and after we finished running our errand there, I left this book outside of the neighbouring Pet Valu store. I put it in a protective bag and propped it up against the window to the right of the entrance; it has a big picture of a dog in it that reminded me of Mister in this book. I think Mister is supposed to be a larger breed than the doggy in the window and they don't look *that* much alike, but the black and white colouring reminded me!
