The Other Boleyn Girl

A fascinating book with Mary Boleyn (sister to Anne) as the narrator. I had my doubts... the book is 660 pages, and I couldn't imagine how the author would have that much stuff to talk about regarding the Tudors - and I was worried there would be a lot of the bodice ripping junk.
And while there was some bodice ripping, I was pleasantly surprised at how much of a page turner this book really was. I'm going to go out on a limb and tell you that Anne (not Mary) was my favorite character in the book. Yes she was unfeeling, yes she was manipulative, and yes turned her back on those that helped her get the throne - but she and her sister Mary were treated as cattle - sold off to the highest bidder or given to the man who would further the family.
Gregory does a great job bringing the English court to life.
