As with most Scottish Book Trust collections, a mixture of poignant, funny, thought-provoking, or sometimes instantly forgettable short stories. Each one is only a few pages long so I find these books good for keeping in my handbag and reading on the bus, in the playground, etc. Within this collection, 'The Watchers of Glasgow' by Irene Stevens was my favourite. It's a lovely tale about a community looking after one another from childhood to old age.
