Purchased at Miami's library book sale for BookCrossing.
I have read quite a few novels about the Tudor era but not much about Lady Jane Grey, as not being directly related to Henry VIII and with such a short reign, she is more a footnote rather than the center of a story.
She does star as the protagonist in this short story, but still as more an observer of things happening and being happened to, rather than an actress in the center stage. One does feel sorry for her. I wonder if Mary feel bad about having Jane executed. On the other hand, a smart politician will know that she could not live on to be the rally cry of rebellion, rather Jane herself wish to be queen or not.
