Given to me by Lorraine to read and release in China.
I really enjoyed this book which I read whilst in China. Great storyline, very appropriate for my trip - a Chinese adopted daughter who grew up in Melbourne and accepted a job in Shanghai, partially to discover her roots. I enjoyed reading about the Suzhou garden s which I visited, seeing the hotel where her grandparents stayed and the French Concession where she ate out regularly.
Left in a cafe during a “shop till you drop” excursion!
