From the adorable, cozy Georgetown 2nd hand book shop: White Rabbit Books. If you remember how big The Police were in the 80's...well, CCR was that big in the 60's- 70's. I was lucky to see the band live at Maple Leaf Gardens in 1970, with Wilbert Harrison as opening act. My pal Patsy and I went down super early, sat on the pavement and got 4th row seats for our efforts. Those were the days.... 'Looking forward to hearing the whole story in John's own words. He's really ridden some rough seas as leader/songwriter of Creedance Clearwater Revival.

A very informative read, by John Fogerty himself. I knew there were big problems/animosities for a long time, with John not even being allowed to play his own songs, but I had no idea how down & dirty and damaging things got. At times, John gets a bit repetitive, but overall, it's a very open, honest book and I think he's a pretty good guy. (Not to mention, John Fogerty IS CCR.) 'Passing along to Donfiction.

A good if somewhat plodding account of CCR and Fogerty....Saul Zanetz (sp?) not such a nice guy.....rock stars and hockey players got shafted.....didn't realize there was so much dissension in CCR - wish I'd seen them live in the 60s....remember hearing them in bars in Montrealand Vancouver around 1970 and loving the music......
