Sold on a Monday

I really liked this book. My mother gave it to me after her book club read it. She thought it was just "alright." But I love getting sucked into the newspaper life and storytelling. I love how misconstrued the story the story that the reporter wrote got once he added a fake picture to got with it. I think my mom was looking for the tale of the boy in the picture. I liked the backstory behind the picture more.
Thanks so much for the tag. Sold on A Monday has arrived safely in NJ.
The story started out slowly, but picked up midway and became hard to put down.
Ellis Reed takes a picture of two children in 1931, with a sign that says “children for sale”. He does not intend for the picture to be published, and when it is things spiral out of control. It is about a mother’s love and most of all the importance of doing the right thing when a wrong has been done.

The book has been returned to me and is now available.
